Spiritual Care
"Lord, make me an instrument
of thy peace; where there is hatred, let me sow peace; where there is injury,
pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there
is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy."
-St.Francis of Assisi

The Spiritual Care Team is an
integral part of carrying out our mission at St. Mary's Healthcare Center. Team
members take part in interdisciplinary care conferences, interface with medical
staff and other departments and individuals, and provide in-services,
consultation and/or group facilitation. They also work with other religious
entities in our community and out lying area.
The Spiritual Care Team is sensitive to patient and family's wishes and needs.
They recognize that at times only a clergy member of one's own faith can answer
special needs. A patient's clergy will be contacted upon request.
Spiritual Care visits may be requested through the switchboard or by speaking to
a nurse. There is a Chaplain on-call at all times 24/7. Maryhouse residents may
request Spiritual Care through the staff at Maryhouse. Parkwood residents may
request Spiritual Care thought the office at Parkwood or by calling the St.
Mary's switchboard at 224-3100.
Our Chapel is located on the ground level at Maryhouse, south of the main
hospital building. Families and visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the
