ParkWood is an apartment
complex for seniors consisting of 57 one and two bedroom apartments which
provide all the comforts of home, plus safety, security, and many cultural,
recreational, and social amenities.
Parkwood offers easy indoor access to the Maryhouse Chapel where residents can access daily Mass or a number of
non-denominational services or spend time in quiet prayer and reflection. Those
living in ParkWood enjoy comfortable independence along with wonderful
companionship.

ParkWood tenants enjoy the
beautiful setting along the rolling hills of the Missouri River and overlooking
Griffin Park. Included in the monthly rent is a noon meal served every day, all
utilities, weekly cleaning of the kitchen and bath areas, cable TV, and limited
transportation in the ParkWood van. ParkWood has a beauty/barber shop, an
exercise room, on-site banking, Bible study and exercise groups. Parkwood
tenants have the ability to access the Maryhouse Chapel at any time. This is a
Catholic Chapel with daily Mass and non-denominational services on Sunday. All
apartments have emergency pull cords to summon help should an emergency arise.
You'll always find something going on at ParkWood -- it may be a lively pool
game, card games, or it could be that someone is playing some old favorites on
the grand piano found in the Commons area. There are jigsaw puzzles to work on
or books in the library to read. Tenants enjoy the cheery sun room which looks
out onto the tennis courts, or they tend to the vegetable garden or flower
planters. Many take walks in Griffin Park, which is right out the back door. In
the winter, the tenants enjoy visiting by the fireplace as they watch the
ParkWood staff scoop the snow (something most don't miss doing). Special
activities are planned throughout the year.
ParkWood is connected to St. Mary's Healthcare Center where a wide variety of
quality medical services are available at a moment's notice. It is also located
next to Maryhouse Nursing Facility. The entire healthcare facility is nestled
along the rolling banks of the Missouri River, beside beautiful Griffin Park.
